What a lock on this page is for
This is a small range and we would rather say so than pad it out. What is here suits the everyday case — a bike left for the length of a coffee, or held on a car rack between the trailhead and home.
No cable lock stops a determined thief with time and tools. It stops the opportunist, and for most rides on this peninsula that is the risk you are actually managing. If you are locking a bike up in town all day, that is a different conversation and a heavier lock — come and have it with us at the shop rather than buying the wrong thing.
