Orca or Orca Aero
The Orca is Orbea's all-round road frame: light, comfortable enough for a long day, and at its best pointed uphill. If most of your riding is over Suikerbossie and out along the coast, this is the more sensible bike of the two.
The Orca Aero is built around tube shapes that cut drag. It is quicker on the flat and into a headwind — which, given the south-easter, is not a theoretical advantage here — at the cost of a little weight and a slightly firmer ride.
Neither is a beginner's bike, and both are bought once and kept for years.
Fit decides whether you enjoy it
At this level the frame is not what makes the bike fast for you — the position is. Reach, stack, saddle height and bar width all have to be right, and a frame one size out cannot be fixed with a stem.
